Jack London’s 150th Birthday Hike

Sat January 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Jack London Park

Jack London was born on January 12, 1876. In his 40 years, he accomplished an extraordinary amount. He became one of the world’s most widely read authors, writing beloved works such as The Call of the Wild and White Fang. He explored the world, reported on major events, pursued adventure across land and sea, and built his dream ranch here in Glen Ellen. His legacy lives on in his stories and this land.

Celebrate Jack London’s 150th birthday with a free guided hike through the landscapes he loved so deeply. This approximately 3.5 mile roundtrip hike will take you to the park’s ancient redwood, an old growth coast redwood that stood here long before Jack arrived, watched over the land during his years in Glen Ellen, and still stands with us today. Experience the beauty, stories, and adventurous spirit that shaped his life and work.
