Midnight Gaucho at Geyserville Gun Club

Midnight Gaucho is an easier moniker to pronounce than my actual name, Fede Petro. I’m a singer-songwriter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At 21, I moved to San Francisco, where I met a generous street musician named Frankie Lynn Hockett, who taught me everything I know about music, performing, and life. He passed away not long after, and I vowed to always celebrate his life through my music.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many artists as a producer, arranger, guitarist, and violinist and started a music movement called Open Folk. Influenced by both American and Argentine folk, I would describe my music as Bob Dylan meets the Beatles to drink mate with their feet hanging over a bridge overlooking the 101.
