The Santa Rosa Art Center welcomes the new season with “A Many Splendored Spring.” Art for the show will focus on the stunning revival of life and light that underpins a new season of rebirth and growth, changing colors and forms.

Spring is a season in synch with the year’s rhythm of universal impulses. It is, as described by Odilon Redon, a continual center of sensations, always pliant and hypnotic. Artists present spring’s revel and renewal through the recovery of a visible drama that Milton Avery once described as “the visible drama of mountains, trees, and bleached fields with the fantasy of wind blowing and changing colors and forms.”
