Roost & Resist: First Friday Guerilla Gallery

ROOST & RESIST with us on Friday, Feb 6th from 5-8 at WonderStump. This event is a “guerilla gallery” created by all of us. We need your help.

Bring and share your:
• protest, resistance, solidarity, social justice, human rights, or current events themed art , writing, or performance
• ever seen dance or theater at an open mic? We haven’t either. Bring it.
• bring an easel to display your work if you have one (we’ll figure something out if you don’t)
• bring your justice-forward info to distribute
• bring your own clothing, bags, and cardboard to adorn with messages of resistance. Bring supplies if you have ’em, or share ours

Don’t have art? C’mere and make some! We’ll have stations set up for protest sign making, collage, journaling and poetry, and more. Share, listen, be in community. Let’s do this ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏾✊🏻✊🏽✊🌈

Logistics:
• Artist setup from 4-5pm
• Doors open at 5pm
• Land acknowledgement & words from WonderStump at 6pm
• Open mic/stage from 6-8pm — email images for projection onto the stage to info@wonderstump.art
• Art making and resource sharing throughout the evening
• Snacks, drinks, and handmade merch available for purchase (proceeds help keep the lights on!)
