Steeping Knowledge – Tea Demonstration

Come to Sugarloaf for an interactive demonstration on tea lead by local culture bearer, TekTekh, a Native of Sonoma and Napa. We’ll take a walk around Meadow and Hillside Trails, hearing about what she’s learned from her elders while looking for cleavers, which TekTekh will harvest (permit-sanctioned) and process into a tea back at the picnic tables next to the White Barn.

Meet at the White Barn parking lot. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for youth (12-17 year olds; all minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian), students, Sugarloaf members, Sugarloaf or RFO volunteers, and free for children under 12. Wear layers, appropriate footwear for muddy and/or slippery trails, bring a small mug/cup for tea tasting, at least a quart of water, sun protection, and if desired, a snack. Heavy rain cancels. Parking fees apply.
