Thursday Sunset Paddle & Party at The Floathouse Petaluma

Ease into the evening with a relaxed paddle on the Petaluma River, followed by dockside snacks and community time at The Floathouse Petaluma, right downtown in the central turning basin. No fuss, no stress, just community on the water with the sunset accompanying us.

Once a month from April through September, paddlers gather for a 5:30 pm launch and head out together onto the calm tidal waters of the Petaluma River, right in the heart of downtown. As the seasons shift, the length of the paddle changes with the daylight—stretching into Sonoma County’s long summer evenings and shortening again as fall approaches.

The group returns to the dock about 30 minutes before sunset, when everyone gathers to enjoy simple snacks, good conversation, and views of the evening sky over the river.

Rent one of The Floathouse’s stable sit-on-top kayaks or stand-up paddleboards, or bring your own board or small boat and join the fun. This easygoing after-work outing is a great way to get outside, connect with the river, and meet fellow paddlers.

Pricing:
$35 – Kayak or SUP rental for the duration of the paddle
$10 – Bring your own board or boat
