Healthy Petaluma District & Foundation (HPDF) serves southern Sonoma County as a community-owned public agency established in 1946. Its service area includes Petaluma, Penngrove, Cotati, and portions of Rohnert Park. HPDF's HeartSafe Community (HSC) program, launched in 2013, aims to reduce deaths from Sudden Cardiac Arrest through several key initiatives: CPR and AED Training: Provided through HealthQuest CPR, an authorized American Heart Association training center. Public Access Defibrillators: Installation of AEDs in strategic locations, including outdoor SaveStation cabinets. AED Management: AED maintenance, registration,sales of AEDs and supplies to ensure equipment is rescue-ready. Collaborative Response: Partnering with local fire and police departments, schools, hospitals and PulsePoint to strengthen the emergency response network.
