Susan Topf’s Yoga Hike balances a mix of easy hiking and gentle yoga postures, breath work and guided meditation, no mat necessary. The route varies on weather conditions and group interest, typically covering 2-3 miles of varied terrain. All levels and ages welcome. Tickets are $30 and include parking if registered in advance online. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing to feel comfortable being in a natural setting and bring water (as needed). Meet outside the Visitor Center unless otherwise noted in the reminder email prior to the hike. Limited to 12 participants. Sonoma County Resident? With Halloween around the corner, we might just discover witches' butter, flying saucer galls, zombie leaves, plants that have been skeletonized, or even some “ghostly“ sheet web spiders. Have the bats been using their bat house, let’s find out. We’ll also see if we can identify some of the “treats” of the season (seeds, nuts, and berries) and the plants that produce them. Oh, and of course, spooky stories. Tickets are $10 for general audiences, $5 for youth (12-17 year olds), students, Sugarloaf members, Sugarloaf volunteers, and free for children under 12. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Meet at the White Barn parking lot. Bring at least a quart of water, sun protection, wear appropriate clothing and footwear for slippery and rocky trails, and if desired, a snack. Parking fees apply. Heavy rains cancel.
